All the workshops run over the festival weekend are open to everyone. No need to book, just turn up on the day to join in and experience the joy of singing.
Big Sing Workshops
Saturday 11.30am – 1pm (Town Hall & St Matthews Hall)
Led by Martin Meader (Born to Sing) & Ryan Morrison (Men of the West).
Come and learn a song in a big group surrounded by others. It doesn't matter if you've never sung before. It’s fun and you will get to sing your song on Sat night in our evening concert. Choose one of the two ‘big sing’ workshops on offer and just turn up. Both of our big sing directors are highly experienced at getting wonderful sound from motley groups so come and enjoy!
How to make your vocal eases work for you
Sunday 9am – 10am (Garrick Theatre Foyer)
Presented by Lindsey Dyer (A Cappella West)
A class on how to use your vocal warmups to fix vocal issues in your vocal group.
In this workshop singers and musical directors will benefit from the expertise of Lindsey Dyer - master director, who will lead us through the use of vocal warm ups to improve our singing and musicality. Many times we know there is an issue but feel unsure how to change and improve our singing. With this workshop you will have strategies to use that will help your group of singers. Come along and enjoy the process of becoming better at what we all love to do.
Master Your Mix
Sunday 9am – 10am (Stirling Arms)

An international vocal technique that will give your voice total freedom and the ability to sing right through your range with ease and balance. Learn about the mechanics of your instrument and how to improve flexibility, tone quality, range, breathing, dynamics, and most importantly how to transition through your passages without any breaks or sudden changes in quality.
